Cherry Guava also known as strawberry guava, is a small attractive tree 3-4 m tall x 1-2 m wide.

It is an evergreen tree with glossy green leaves, producing an abundance of sweet, juicy fruit in late summer to Autumn. The fruit is round 2.5 – 4 cm in diameter (the size of a lychee), deep red, with a thin skin.

Cherry guavas are sub-tropical will grow in a wide range of soils and climatic conditions. They prefer full sun or dappled shade and are tolerant of light frost.

As a garden plant they can be used as an informal hedge or a patio plant. Fruit can be eaten straight of the tree or used to make jam and desserts.
The pulp can be juiced to make a delicious juice drink rich in vitamin C and phytonutrients.

The trees are 12-14 months old, 70-90cm tall are sun hardened and ready to plant into the ground or a large pot. Advanced trees are available for pickup from the nursery direct. Please contact us for more details.
