Description

Our olive trees are quality commercial stock grown in a professional nursery in south-east Queensland.

The trees are 10-12 months old, 50-80cm tall are sun hardened and ready to plant into the ground or  a large pot.

Correggiola is a classic Italian variety originating in Tuscany, the heart of Italy’s olive growing region. It is very closely related to the Tuscan Frantoio variety and both are renown for their quality oil characteristics and ease of oil extraction.  Commercially, it is primarily grown for its high oil content and strong peppery character. The small/medium sized fruit can be pickled both green ripe or black and has a subtle nutty flavour.  It is a hardy fast growing variety that is grows well in both warm and cold climates but it fruits better in areas that have colder winters. It is tolerant to frost, coastal conditions and salinity.

Due to its vigour and hardiness Correggiola makes a great informal hedge, pleached hedge or screening plant.

We only send trees early in the week to help ensure they arrive at their destination before the weekend.
Please note: due to quarantine restrictions plants cannot be sent to the Northern Territory, Tasmania or Western Australia.
