Description

The Souri olive (also known as… Bathni, Khudri, Krari, Kteit, Nabala and Roman) is an ancient variety that originated in the Palestine region.  It is a very resiliant, self fertile variety that accounts for 90% of Palestines olive industry. It is found mainly in the hilly northern and central areas of the West Bank.

Souri  produces a small/ medium sized fruit that has a high oil content.  It is primarily used for oil production but also makes quality table fruit that is usually pickled green.  The oil is aromatic and highly regarded in the region.

Souri is not a commonly grown variety in Australia but is a very hardy tree that is tolerant to frost, coastal conditions and salinity.

Our olive trees are quality commercial stock grown in a professional nursery in south-east Queensland. The trees are 10-12 months old, 50-80cm tall are sun hardened and ready to plant into the ground or  a large pot.

We only send trees early in the week to ensure they arrive at their destination before the weekend.

Please note: due to quarantine restrictions plants cannot be sent to Northern Territory, Tasmania  or Western Australia.
