Description
The Black Passionfruit (Passiflora edulis) is an evergreen vine that produces a round medium sized black skin fruit with a juicy tangy pulp that sweetens as the fruit matures on the vine over summer and autumn.
It is an adaptable vine that thrives in the subtropics but can grow in sheltered frost free areas in colder climates. It requires well drained fertile soil and best grown on a trellis, fence or pergola it will cover around 6 m x 6m.
Grown from seed it is a fast growing vine that will come into bearing in its first or 2nd season.
