Description

Grevillea Crimson Yul-lo is a stunning rare Grevillea producing an abundance of crimson red flowers throughout the year. Peak flowering is in Autumn but flowers are usually borne all year round.

It is a very hardy, fast growing shrub that will reach 3m high x 2-3m wide. Periodic light pruning will help to maintain a compact form and encourage flower production
Used for commercial flower production, flowers have a vase life of a week or so.

Preferring well-drained soils in full sun, Crimson Yul-lo is adaptable to a wide range of climates from Cairns to Victoria. It is tolerant of of light to moderate frost and extended dry periods once established. The flowers attract honeyeater birds and make exceptional cut flowers. Prune old flowering branches when they stop producing new flower buds and feed once a year with a low phosphorus native fertiliser.

The trees are 6-8 months old and around 60 to 90cm tall and ready to plant into the ground or a large pot.

Crimson Yul-lo was bred by the late Plant Breeder/ Horticulturist Owen Brown and is one of the rarest most spectacular Grevillea’s arising from a G. banksii cross

We send trees early in the week to help ensure they arrive at their destination before the weekend.

Please note: due to quarantine restrictions plants cannot be sent to the Northern Territory, Tasmania or Western Australia.
